Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how UNBOXD ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you visit unboxd.app (the "Site"). The Site is currently a pre-launch page that shares information about an upcoming product.

Information we collect

If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you enter. Along with it we record how you reached the Site, so we can tell which of our promotions work: the campaign details included in the link you followed, the referring website, the page you landed on, your approximate country, your browser type and the date and time you joined. To prevent abuse we also keep a one-way scrambled version of your IP address, not the address itself.

When you visit, limited technical information may also be collected automatically by us or by our service providers, such as:

• Your IP address, browser type, device type and operating system.
• The pages you view, the time of your visit and the referring website.

How we use information

We use your waitlist email address to tell you when UNBOXD launches, to send occasional updates about it and, if you are among the first 5,000 to join, to send your early-access invitation. We use the date and time you joined, and your approximate country, to work out who qualifies for early access. We use the other information described above to measure which promotions bring people to the Site, to operate, secure and improve the Site, and to detect and prevent abuse. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and local storage

The Site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It may store small values in your browser's session storage, such as whether you have already seen the opening animation and the campaign details of the link you arrived from, so they can be attached if you join the waitlist. These values are cleared when you close your browser.

Third-party services

We rely on third-party providers to host and deliver the Site and to store waitlist signups, including Cloudflare. These providers process information, such as your IP address and waitlist details, only as needed to provide their services to us and under their own privacy policies.

Data retention

We keep your waitlist email address until you ask us to remove it or unsubscribe, or until we no longer need it to tell you about UNBOXD. Technical information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law.

Age requirement

The Site is intended only for people who are 18 years of age or older. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information about you. To remove your email from the waitlist or make any other request, email us at unboxdapp@gmail.com, or use the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including when our product launches. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the date above will be updated.
